Islamabad Co-operative Housing Society (ICHS) or widely known as ICHS town Islamabad is a CDA approved semi-government housing society that aims to provide affordable houses to the middle-class and low-income people who look out for a high quality lifestyle.

It is also pertinent to mention that the layout plan of ICHS is also approved by the Capital Development Authority (CDA).

In the very beginning ICHS town carefully entered the real estate market and extended very limited and well-thought options to the buyers. The society started off with an area that was divided into 6 blocks and only offered 1 Kanal commercial plots.

As the need for more affordable and low-price houses grew, ICHS also realised that potential in the residential sector. This brought about the change in its master plan and prompted the administration of the ICHS to add more residential blocks to the actual plan.


Spread at an area of about 0.7 Square Kms (1500 Kanals) ICHS is located at a cross section of three big cities of Pakistan, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and Fatehjang. It is located on Fateh Jhang Road and lies at a distance of about 40 Km from the heart of Islamabad, the Zero Point, and can be accessed very easily through the Kashmir Highway (Srinagar Highway).

At its current location, ICHS is extremely close to both the new CPEC route (3 Km) and the New Islamabad International Airport (4 Km). On the other side ICHS is just 37 Km away from the center of Rawalpindi, which makes a drive of about 20 minutes. Besides that the Islamabad Motorway (M1) is also easily accessible from here and is just 15 Km away.


The planners and developers of ICHS have far-seen the need of a housing society for middle-class strata of the society in Islamabad that could cater to their needs along with providing them a luxurious environment. This is why it offers all of the basic facilities along with many other features in a very reasonable price making it one of its own kind.

The ICHS currently offers all of the basic and usual amenities including
A boundary wall,
Sewerage system,
Well carpeted and wider roads and green belts,
Street lights,
Schools and colleges, and
Theme Parks and playing area for children.

Added to that ICHS offers more advanced features that usual societies don’t quite often offer. These include

The 9000 Kanal area of the ICHS has been divided into A,B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, K, M, N, O, and Executive Blocks. According to the master plan of the society, every block would have its own Park, Central Masjid, School, Parking area, graveyard, and Health Care facility.


As of now, about 70% construction of ICHS including the ground leveling and Main Gate Entrance has been completed. The work on the carpeted roads and the main boulevard is also finished thus making it very easy to move within the society area without any difficulty.

The Main boulevard of the society is powered by Solar lights to make it more eco-friendly. Although every care has been taken to make the electricity system of the society failure proof, generators have been installed to thwart any unwanted situation or power failure.


From its beginning in 2015, nearly all old blocks have been sold out and are currently available for resale only. Currently 5 Marla, 7 Marla, 10 Marla, and 1 Kanal residential plots are available in the ICHS Executive Block only at a very reasonable price and flexible installment plans

To book a plot you need to first get registered with ICHS and follow the procedure. ICHS currently offers a 3 years payment plan that is divided into 12 quarterly payments.


ICHS is currently under development and has got a huge potential for investment. Possession of its two major blocks, namely A and B, has been awarded to the buyers, while the possession of other blocks is expected to be received soon.

There is another aspect related to the ICHS that makes it more trustworthy and reliable, and that is the fact that ICHS might be the only housing society in Islamabad that has completed all legalities and formalities.

Not only the street numbers have been already assigned but moreover the plots have also been marked which means that you know the exact location of your own plot.

The construction work is under process on the site of the ICHS town and given the figures, it will continue through the next decade.
