In 1999, the Model Town Multan was a prime project that was launched in response to the approval of the government of Pakistan. Phase I and Phase II were designed, which occupied 99 acres of land consisting of 490 plots. Phase III of the society was, however, inaugurated in 2005 and covered 226 plots on 41 acres of land.
